Night 2-What is The Kingdom of God?

Updated: Mar 7

If you're like other Christians, you read the Bible and may ask "What exactly is the Kingdom of God and why is that important to me?" If we claim Jesus as Lord and Savior of our lives, it's vital that we understand what the Kingdom of God is, and how to enter and effectively participate now and for all eternity. In John 3:3, Jesus said "Truly truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God." We know that being born again is a vital part of entering God's Kingdom, but is there more we can learn from the parables and teachings of Jesus?

The Kingdom of God is not just something we access when we die, but it is both spiritual and physical; present and future. Jesus said in Luke 17:21, "Nor will they say, "Look, here it is!' or "There!' for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you." Entering and becoming an active citizen is so much more than simply saying a prayer at the altar and getting baptized. It's being born again, entering under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, learning obedience to Him, and making disciples of all nations. As the Great Commission says "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." We as Kingdom Citizens have a high calling to fulfill.

In this topic, Paztuh Mike will go into great detail about what exactly is the Kingdom of God, how to enter, and how to operate as a Kingdom Citizen.  It will change perspectives and minds, and bring the teachings of Jesus to life in a new way; helping us to walk as true disciples fulfilling our destiny and calling.
